Instruction & Debt Collection fees Instruction FeesAn instruction fee of 2% of any debt is required to cover our initial set-up costs. These fees are basically to cover the costs incurred where debtors have moved premises, become insolvent, are habitual debtors or where there is an unresolved complaint. Where instructions exceed higher levels, instruction fees may be reduced. All of the rates fees or charges quoted attract Value Added Tax at the rate prevailing on invoice date. The current rate (April 2000) is set at 17.5% of the service charge. Debt Recovery FeesThe fees quoted below relate only to the value of monies recovered, if a percentage of a debt is recovered, commission is charged only on the recovered sum. If no sum is recovered, you pay NO COMMISSION. Small DebtsInstruction fees are between 2% and 5% of the instructed sum, commensurate with the debt value.
